Marjorie Carrington began the oboe at the age of 11 and played with the Devon County Youth Orchestra. She then studied music at Birmingham Conservatoire and took her Masters degree at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. Between 2005 and 2012, Marjorie lived in Ljubljana, Slovenia, and played with the Slovenian Philharmonic Orchestra. She has worked with The Philharmonia Orchestra, London Chamber Orchestra, Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, SNG Opera and Ballet Ljubljana and in West End shows. Marjorie now lives in Farnham with her Swedish husband and 3 young children and has recently performed with Farnham Sinfonia.
Maltese pianist Maureen Galea is in much demand, her CD releases are receiving high critical acclaim. As well as a busy teaching schedule Maureen performs as a soloist and accompanist all over Europe. Maureen is currently a piano tutor and accompanist at the University of Surrey, where she also founded and sponsors a biennial piano duet competition for students, 'Quattro Mani!'. She is a much sought-after piano teacher in various schools and regularly gives educational concerts for children.
